Studio –Gram and Mash bring us Cranky Fin’s Holidae Inn, Australia’s Newest Beach Shack
/Snapshot: Nestled among Palm Beach’s quiet surf and golden sun, Cranky Fin’s Holidae Inn is an Australian beach shack encompassing a certain charm that makes you want to embrace the relaxed lifestyle of Sydney’s beach scene. Born from the creative minds of Studio –Gram and Mash, the restaurant and bar pools together everything great about beach shacks and brings it together in this “Australian relic.”
Studio –Gram lead by Graham Charbonneau and the creatives at Mash designed Cranky Fin’s with a special narrative that keeps the energy of the beach life in mind. Centered on “Uncle Cranky,” the shack has a sense of personality and charm. Utilizing an unusual, bright palette of colors, the countless cool patterns work together to paint a full picture. Scatterings of surf boards, fishing gear and plants you could only find amid palm trees surround the place to give it a personal touch that creates a sort of dialogue with guests.
Bright and airy, the louvered windows allow the gentle sea breeze through; along with the sun (or moon) light to create an atmosphere that fully integrates the beautiful surroundings of Palm Beach into the shack. Artwork painted on the walls or just eclectically hangin’ around Cranky Fin’s along with the cozy, colorful seating and a chill atmosphere makes it the kind of place you want to settle in and stay for a while.
Cranky Fin’s Holidae Inn is the quintessential Australian beach shack. It collects everything you could ever want from a seaside restaurant, bringing together bright and energetic colors and patterns in a different and exciting way.
